What it do, You know who it is. We chillin here in the cut maxin and relaxin. Just sparked up a loud one for Gp. Im kickin here with the beautiful Ms. Parris And she so graciously came by Naptown Connect to show us some love.
Foxx: How you doin' Parris?
Parris: "I'm great, living and learning. Preparing myself for bigger and better."
Out the gate, I respect that and with plenty of dedication you're gon' get it. I want to let everybody know it's goin' down June 12, 2012 Make it Rain Tuesdays featuring Parris performing her debut single "Head Dumb" feat. MRC. If you haven't heard this song you're missin out on something good. Don't worry though, by the end of this post you will be fimialar with the song and bang it until your ears bleed. Now, there's a lot going on in the game now and so many talented artists are emerging from out of nowhere.
Q: Who is "Parris"? (Type of Singer, Type of Hustler, Type of person)
A: Parris is Is a female rapper who loves to make music and make money.
I like to make music that I know people either have experienced or go
through on a day to day basis.
Q: What's a normal day for you?
A: Working on ways to make a better way for me. Studio. And I am
employed, so thats a everyday thing as well
Q: Given the state of the game right now (mainstream and
underground) what are your opinions on it and how do seperate yourself
from everyone else?
A: This city, to me, everyone is in competition. I don't know why. If one getson, the world will look at us again. I support any artist. Everytime
someone is performing. I'm in the front just like they were for me
when I first started. I never doubt anyone, its a good feeling. I'll
go to every club to make sure my music is played. Hard work has paid
off. My hustle hand is silly when it comes to this music. I love
hearing my music on the raido or just riding in traffic and hearing
it. Its really a good feeling.
You're Right, I get the same feeling whenever I meet someone who recognizes me or I hear the DBoy tag riding down the street. It makes me feel like our hard work is paying off.
Q: Now we go back to CCV, Cooper Point days, when everybody used be
over there kickin rocks and talkin shit haha, In your early years did
you always know you wanted to become an artist
or did it just kinda fall into place?
A: Lol , funny you brought that up. Me, my sister and cousin was
TLC back in the day. We used to make little videos and songs. But it
became more of a poetry fetish to me. As I got a little older, I never
took music seriously, I started highschool, went to college. But it's
something about putting words behind a coo beat that makes me feel
good, and I know people can relate. So I let it all out.
Q: Tell Me about your latest Project and where can the public find it?

Q: Who Influenced you to start your music career and your style of art?
A: Honestly Eve, I absolutly love her lol. But I was on the phone with a friend one day and we was talking on how we need a female to dominate this city. I told her I was going to try to accomplish that and well....
And you are well on your way in fact. When I first heard about you I was like that can't the same Parris but I saw your mixtape cover and immediately downloaded it cause hell, I know you lol. I felt obligated to support you.
Q: Who would you most like to work with on any upcoming projects? (Locally & Mainstream)
A: Locally: Yung Tone, Lil Vinnie, Ms. Fields and Celebrity wise: Wale, Yo Gotti, Trina,
Chris Brown and Nikki Minaj
Q: What can we (fans, viewers, etc.) expect the rest of 2012 and
beyond from you?
A: I can't speak to much on it. I just hope the city is ready. I
have some big plans this summer.
Q: Now im not sure if you're into sports like that but Im gon ask
Anyway, Miami or OKC for the championship and how many games you think
they'll win it in?
A: Good question! I love sports, I played basketball all my life.
But to be honest I love Miami. And I'm not sure how many games it will go, they are
both pretty competitive. I do think it will be a close, on the
edge of your seat win!
Yea this is probably one of the more exciting match-ups in a while. I can't really say either who is going to take it all. I want Miami to but I love OKC. I mean either way, They are both champs to me. Q: Before we cut out Parris did you want to give a shoutout to anyone?
A: God first and foremost, he is def the reason why I'm here to
accomplish things. Shout out to my mother, my biggest supporter, as
well as my motivation. Shout outs to all my supporters, they also
motivate me. Shout Out to Dj Reddy Rock for putting me in the game ,
as well as they Leak Magazine. Big ups to Naptown Connect for giving
me this opprotunity to expand my music as well. Also shout outs to my second biggest supporter: Louch and Shout out to LeAmber as well , she's like a big sister. Me and her are also
working on a project together! Excuse My French ! :)
